About milligram

Family law workshops
built on real practice

Since 2014, we've been running practical workshops on family law essentials — divorce, custody, property rights, and pension legal services. No theory overload. Every session is structured around situations people actually face, so participants leave with skills they can use right away. We started as a small team in Helena and grew into a statewide platform that removes geography as a barrier to quality legal education.

How this came together

Interactive legal exercise workshop Group collaborative session Participant working through case materials

The idea came from a frustrating gap. People dealing with divorce proceedings, custody arrangements, or pension dispute cases couldn't find legal education that spoke to their actual situation. The existing resources were either too academic or too vague. We started by running one workshop in Helena with a handful of participants and a clear rule: nothing goes on the curriculum unless it's directly useful. That first session covered the basics of marital property law and pension rights — areas where most people walk in completely unprepared. The format worked. Participants asked sharper questions. They left with a clearer picture of what retirement legal advice involves, what a pension lawyer actually does, and when they'd need one.

Pension legal services coverage

Every program covers pension claim help and how to navigate pension law assistance with or without a lawyer present.

Statewide reach

Online delivery means participants from any corner of Montana access the same sessions as someone in Helena.

Case-based assignments

Each module uses real-world scenarios. Participants analyze pension dispute cases and retirement benefits contexts step by step.

Social security coverage

Social security lawyer perspectives and pension rights lawyer strategies are baked into core modules, not optional add-ons.

Lead Workshop Facilitator

Declan designed the original curriculum in 2014, focusing on pension dispute lawyer scenarios and marital property cases. He's run over 200 live sessions and still teaches the core pension law assistance module himself.

Program Coordinator

Tobias handles curriculum quality and ensures every new module covers retirement benefits lawyer context accurately. He joined in 2017 and reshaped how we structure pension claim help exercises and participant feedback.

01

Honest scope

We teach what participants can actually apply. Pension rights lawyer strategies, custody documentation, and property division — not hypotheticals without grounding.

02

No fluff curriculum

Every session is cut-tested. If a module doesn't sharpen understanding of retirement legal advice or pension case legal support, it doesn't stay in the program.

03

Access without location

Montana is big and rural. We built the platform specifically so a participant in Havre gets the same workshop experience as someone in Missoula.
